Falcon Ridge Folk Festival In the Rain - 2004 Page 1
It seems a bellywhopper of a rainstorm is a yearly tradition at Falcon Ridge. This year it hit near the beginning of the Emerging Artists' Showcase, temporarily shutting down the show as the stage crew and sound guys scrambled to protect the equipment and prevent electrocution. Once the worst had passed the show continued. Many people sat in their cars and caught the show by radio. Others weathered the storm, most getting thoroughly drenched in the process. I have no doubt the Emerging Artists appreciated having at least some visible audience. During the worst of the storm I was backstage scrambling to protect my camera and stay out of the way. But these brave souls deserve to be immortalized!
